One weekend out of Six Months

Military families have to deal with deployments a lot, and it's definitely no fun. Luckily, Jon and I are pretty independent and while we miss each other terribly while separated, neither of our worlds collapse without the other. But, we don't see the need to be apart when we don't have to, so when Jon told me he was coming to Kansas on a mission for part of his deployment, I flew to The Sunflower State (even though I am scared of sunflowers!) to hang out with him for a weekend.

It wasn't full of adventure, but it was full of Jon and Ali time: watching TV, hanging out, watching movies, and just enjoying each other's company, which is what I think we do the best of all. Here are a few pics of the weekend!

Me and Jon versus the arcade game. I kicked ass

Jon did ok, too

Jon and Obaid, his interpreter

Jon pulls our bed out of a wall - no wonder the room was reduced price!!

I didn't realize one needed an interpreter in Kansas, but I've never been there myself!
