Fall Decor - Part #3

I'm not even sure my homeowner's association allows for festive decorations (my neighbor got a letter about her ceramic deer, which were, let's face it, not super cute) but I wanted to do SOMETHING on the front porch, so here's what we got going on:

On sale (but still $8.99 each - grumble grumble) I grabbed two craft pumpkins at Michael's.  Then, I tried to figure out what to do with them.  I was torn between chevrons and chalkboard paint, so I let Jon decide, and he thought it would be fun to do chalkboard paint so we can change it up and let Avery draw on them.  Little did we know that Avery would instead bring them in the house every day and demand I draw letters on them, then meltdown if I don't.  Yay.  He picked out a couple of baby pumpkins on our recent anniversary trip, so I put those out as well.  And, please ignore our paint-chipped door.  We had to do some work and it got a bit damaged in the process.  We can only use a specific brand and color of paint ($50 a gallon - thank you again, homeowner's association) to fix it, so we've been putting it off.

That's the extent of my fall decor, along with my inside shelf and my hanging leaves.  On to planning for Christmas!

Looks great!

I'm looking at a project in the kitchen that I want to use chalkboard paint for.

Thanks! I wasn't really on the bandwagon, but it's so easy to use! Just went to a party where a couple had used it on the triangle shaped wall on the outer side of their stairs. Another great place to use it!
