Clearance to Classy

I've seen this online elsewhere, but haven't run across anything I want to pay enough to try it on.

Enter Target's outdoor clearance sale, where I picked up three of these puppies for $2 a pop.

I put in a couple of pieces of paper in the middle and pushed them out to make sure they hit the edges.

Then, I put them on my hand and spraypainted the outside with some of that gorgeous Valspar spray paint that I used for these lamps.

Two simple coats, and a removal of the paper and we've got this:

We are super cute!

The best thing?  As I get out of my yellow phase, it's uber-simple to simply paint the outside a different color!

So cool. I love that yellow you chose. Those look so fun now.

I saw those at target earlier. They had turquoise and a lime green colored one too. That yellow would have gone well with those.

Also, just a side note, since you commented in June, I wanted to give you a heads up because the $50 giftcard giveaway at onehouseonecouple is almost over, and the 30th is the last day you can leave comments on June posts to stack up your points so you can hopefully win! Good luck Ali! And thanks for coming over :)

Hope you have a nice weekend!

Awww - thank you so much! Love reading your blog! Also, I should head back to Target for more little lanterns. Turquoise, lime, and yellow are the perfect summer colors! And good old spray paint can make them into the perfect fall, winter, and spring colors, too! :-)
