Bittersweet

So, I just got my orders from the Army, granting my honorable discharge. And my first feeling was overwhelming sadness. The Army was such a big part of my life. Where I learned to be a leader, learned to jump from planes, learned to run over half a mile without dying, led me to travelling throughout Europe, helped me to meet Jon, took me to combat zones 3 times....it's hard to give that up.

And even though it is time to move on to newer things, graduation from law school, a family, entry into the Air Force, the Army will always be where I found myself, and I will leave a little part of myself in Uncle Sam's hands...
