First House Project

So, Jon and I FINALLY got moved in after numerous spats, several rainstorms, a few great friends, and a couple of injured backs. WHEW! We may be sleeping on a mattress on the dining room floor at the moment, but at least we are officially only living in one place!

I wanted to get just ONE project done last week because we didn't have time to paint or anything, so I decided to redo a linen closet.

BEFORE:
Ugly yellowish walls, shelves lined with either hideous pink contact paper, ugly gold wrapping paper or floral contact paper from the 50s. It also contained a mischievous cat named Harley.



AFTER:
I painted the walls white, peeled off the old paper (my fingernails hate me now) and put in pretty blue and white contact paper as well as a "Clean Linens" air freshener to keep the towels and sheets smelling good. The whole project cost around $10 and took me two days (one to paint, one to peel and stick.)
